A rare perennial found in the Appalachian mountains, in moist loamy soil. Growth is to 40 cm to 70 cm, with bright green large umbrella-like leaves that span 30 cm. The flowers are a small, white spray followed by brilliant blue berries on prominent red stems.
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame as soon as available. Grow in moist, humusy soil in part to full shade, protected from winds.
