Description:
This late-flowering semi-evergreen or deciduous climber has deep green leaves and bears numerous fragrant star-shaped white flowers from late summer to fall. Flowers are followed by attractive seed heads. Height 15-20 feet; spread 6-10 feet.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seeds in fall in containers in a cold frame. Grow on in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun, with the roots and base of the plant in shade. Either provide a support for the plant to climb on, or allow to cascade over a wall or bank. Pruning group 3: In early spring, cut back established plants to a pair of strong buds, 8 inches above soil level.
