Description:
Large spiny silver leaves of this thistle-like perennial are topped with large attractive artichoke-like blooms. Height 5 feet; spread 4 feet.

Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame in the spring. Grow on in fertile to moderately fertile soil in full sun, sheltered from strong winds. Provide protection in winter from temperatures below -5°C ( 25°F ).
