Description:
You can look at this plant as either a short lived perennial or a very long lived biennial, but however you wish to describe it, it is a beautiful plant for the mixed border or the cutting garden. The flowers dry superbly. This rosette-forming taprooted plant has heart-shaped basal leaves and bears branched flowers consisting of cylindrical umbels, initially pale green, then steel-blue with silvery gray bracts. Height 3 feet.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame as soon as your seed order arrives. Grow in moist, fertile well-drained soil in full sun.
