Description:
Named after 17th Century botanist, Dr. Christopher Knaut (1638-1694), this often overlooked perennial is excellent when planted with silver-leafed plants, or white flowers in the garden border. The dark red blooms appear throughout the summer and well into the autumn. Height 24-32 inches; spread 18 inches.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in the spring or fall. Keep containers in a sheltered area or coldframe. Grow on in any good garden soil with adequate drainage.
