Description:
This evergreen subshrub has elliptic green leaves and bears funnel-shaped purplish-blue flowers in late spring to early summer. Height and spread is 16 inches. Suits a rock garden.
Notes: The genus Penstemon is now in the family Plantaginaceae.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame in late winter or in spring. Grow in poor to moderately fertile, sharply-drained soil in full sun.
