This wonderful species tulip comes true from seed and is a must for the spring alpine/rock garden. Although bulbs are available in some markets, growing your own from seed can be very rewarding.
Cultivation:
Growing tulips from seed is not as difficult as it sounds, although it may take several years to produce flowers. Sow species tulip seeds in autumn in a coldframe or cold greenhouse. Grow in well-drained soil. For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
