Description:
This lovely small deciduous tree has mottled bark and wavy-margined dark green leaves that turn crimson-purple in the fall. Greenish-white flowerheads surrounded by white bracts appear in early summer, followed by fleshy red fruits. Height 22 feet; spread 15 feet.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seeds in containers in late winter to early spring. Cover with a thin layer of scree (fine pebbles - to prevent rain from splashing out soil) Grow in fertile, humusy well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
