Description:
Bulbous perennial that bears whorls of lance-shaped to linear, blue-green leaves. Produces racemes of 3 or 4 cup-shaped pendent greenish-white flowers (1-1/2 inches long) with reddish purple stains or speckles. Flowers from early spring to early summer. Suitable for a rock garden or raised bed.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.Sow seed in autumn in a cold frame. Expose to winter cold until germination in spring, then transfer to a cold greenhouse. Grow in sharply-drained, moderately fertile soil in full sun. Intolerant of rainfall during its dormant period.
