Description:
Narrowly upright, deciduous perennial warm season grass which forms clumps of purple to glaucous green stems bearing linear green leaves. The leaves turn to yellow in fall and tan or light brown in winter. Bears broad, pendent panicles to 20 inches long with purple-green spikelets in early fall. Height to 3 feet; spread 30 inches. Place at the back of a perennial border or use as a screen. Asters and sedums are good companions
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in situ when termpatures reach 13-18 degrees Celsius in spring. Grow in moderately-fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.
