This perennial ornamental grass bears distinctive, six inch long, spiny, bottle brush-like flower heads in early summer. The flowers open green and change to tan, remaining attractive into the fall. Useful as a cut flower, fresh or dried. Height and spread 2-4 feet.
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in a cold frame or directly into the ground in spring. Grow in moist, well-drained average garden soil in sun to part shade.
