Coprosma brunnea

Native Region: New Zealand
Zone Range: 08-10
Preferred Climate: Temperate
Harvest Date: Tuesday 17 November, 2009
Seed count: 20-25

Description:
This is a low growing, mat-forming shrub that is dioecious - requiring separate male and female plants for berry production. The small leaves, to 1cm(1/2in) long are arranged along wiry tangled stems. The translucent, almost opalescent berries appear on the female plants in the fall.

Cultivation:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in the fall or spring. Stratification is not needed for germination to be initiated. Plants should be grown on in gritty well-drained soil. These plants require shelter from excessive winter wet, wind and cold.

Harvest Date: Tuesday 17 November, 2009
