Description:
This rosette-forming perennial has deeply lobed basal leaves and bears racemes of pink flowers on unbranched stems in midsummer. 2-3 feet height; 18 inch spread.
Notes: The genus Francoa is now in the family Melianthaceae.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in spring into containers of moist compost and cover with sprinkling of vermiculite. Keep at 15-24 degrees Celsius. Germinates in 15 to 30 days. Grow in humusy, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Protect from winter moisture.
