This low-growing perennial has palmate green basal leaves and bears solitary white or pink-flushed flowers with 6-8 tepals. This is a spring ephemeral whose foliage dies down during the summer. Good for naturalizing in a woodland garden. Height 3-6 inches; spread 12 inches.
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame in spring. Use dry sand to rub hairs off the wooly-coated seeds. Grow in light, sandy soil in full sun. Ensure a dry dormancy period after flowering.
