Rare and unusual seed varieties collected from VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver, BC are available online for purchase. The seeds collected contribute to conserving plant biodiversity and environmental sustainability.
As new harvests ripen, our volunteers collect, clean and prepare the new seeds. Our online store is constantly updated with new seeds available for purchase, so be sure to check back from time to time to see what’s new. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
Funds raised from VanDusen Seed Collectors’ seeds and cards sales directly benefit the work of VanDusen Botanical Garden Association.
Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the VanDusen Volunteer Seed Collectors have been collecting, cleaning, packaging and selling our seeds at VanDusen Botanical Garden since 1982. Since 2002, we have been offering seeds online for growing perennials, annuals, biennials, shrubs, Coastal BC native plants, trees, ferns, vines, rhododendrons and more.

Annually, on the last Saturday of February, VanDusen Seedy Saturday is the first chance of the year to showcase all the seeds VanDusen Seed Collectors have lovingly collected, cleaned and packaged. This year, we have new additions to our collection as well as an unmatched collection of rare tree, shrub, perennial, annual, and heirloom vegetable seeds. Come and revel in the glory of seeds!
Please Note: Since May 2006, the US Department of Agriculture has required that US citizens obtain permits to import seeds under their 'Small Lots of Seed Program.' Information about the permit process is available online here.
For some time we tried to work with this requirement, but most US customers found the permit process too daunting, and cancelled their orders. Therefore, we have reluctantly discontinued shipping seeds to the US. |
